It feels as though the entire blend of pears, raspberry, mandarins, sweet notes, and fragrant almonds is completely immersed in white musk—lots of white musk—and laid upon a woody bed that defines and rounds out the fragrance.
Kun Amo opens with an almond facet. In both the top and heart notes, I perceive an amaretto vibe—aromatic and slightly bitter, yet also fruity and fermented, which I believe comes from the notes of mandarin, raspberry, and pear. The perfume is neither light, nor airy, nor diaphanous. It is a subtly fruity, balsamic, liqueur-like fragrance—dense and well-rounded—yet what I experience within it is a contradiction, an oxymoron.
It is a warm-and-cold perfume, a juxtaposition of nuances, tones, and depths that makes it utterly irresistible. Warm from the woody notes, cold from the notes of musk and ambroxan.
