When I first breathed in Rosarium, I felt frankincense. The finest, most delicate frankincense—vanilla-kissed, gently sweet, and softly powdered. Hovering between nostalgia and melancholy, mystery and mysticism, Rosarium infused my entire being with peace and serenity.
Rosarium is entirely centered around frankincense and iris, touched with a drop of honey and settled on a woody, subtly vanilla base. The sheer quality of the raw ingredients is palpable from the very moment the fragrance meets your skin. With a slightly oily texture—a testament to its high concentration of perfume oil as an extrait de parfum—the fragrance unfolds softly, powdery and creamy, carrying a fine, delicate trace of incense.
The top notes of honey and carrot seeds are perceived as a sheer veil, gently draped over the powdery violet and the woody chords in the heart of the perfume. Although I perceive the frankincense from the very first breath, it actually rests in the base notes, though it undeniably makes a shy entrance, slipping gracefully through the other layers. In the base, we also find notes of vanilla, cedarwood, musk, and vetiver, which lend the fragrance a smooth vanilla finish alongside its rich, woody character.
